Nostos Documentation
Nostos is one reading and writing environment with two deployment choices: use Hosted Nostos at app.nostos.page, or run the SelfHosted application on infrastructure you control.
See the Nostos product roadmap for the direction behind the reading, thinking, and writing loop.
Start with Hosted Nostos
Section titled “Start with Hosted Nostos”Hosted Nostos is the low-friction path. Sign in, choose a plan or trial when needed, let Nostos prepare your library, then start fresh or import an existing portable Nostos library.
- Hosted Nostos — sign-in, setup, and the hosted journey.
- Plans & Trial — current plans, trial terms, storage, and managed-AI limits.
- Billing & Cancellation — account management, billing portal, cancellation, and deletion.
- Ask Nostos & Voice — how the shared managed-AI allowance works and what Ask Nostos is designed to do.
Keep your library portable
Section titled “Keep your library portable”A hosted library is not a one-way migration.
- Import & Export — move your library between hosted and self-hosted Nostos.
- Backups & Recovery — what hosted recovery protects and how it differs from your own export.
- Your Data in Hosted Nostos — the customer-visible data and service boundaries.
- Hosted Architecture — the public architecture and trust boundaries without private operator topology.
Run Nostos yourself
Section titled “Run Nostos yourself”Self-hosting remains a first-class deployment choice and does not require a subscription.
