Billing & Cancellation

Use nostos.page/account for the customer account surface.

When billing management is available for the account, Manage subscription opens the secure billing portal used for payment methods, invoices, and supported subscription changes.

Nostos keeps billing state separate from library content. Changing or cancelling a subscription does not rewrite or delete your books, notes, concepts, or writing.

Standard includes a 7-day trial with payment details collected before the trial begins.

Pro has no free trial and is billed when the subscription starts.

Checkout and billing state are verified server-side before hosted access or purchased refill capacity is granted. Returning from a checkout page by itself is not treated as proof of payment.

A payment problem can change the subscription state shown on your account and may place hosted access into a temporary grace state before access is suspended.

Nostos does not delete library data merely because a payment fails, a trial ends, or a subscription becomes inactive.

Normal subscription cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current paid period. While the subscription remains active through that period, Hosted Nostos remains available.

When cancellation becomes effective, hosted product access ends unless the subscription is renewed or otherwise becomes active again.

Cancellation itself does not delete your customer data.

If you plan to leave Hosted Nostos, create a portable export while you still have access.

Cancel subscription and delete my account and data are separate actions.

When account deletion is requested:

  1. ordinary hosted product access stops;
  2. a 14-day recovery period begins;
  3. a portable export remains available through the recovery flow during that period;
  4. you can cancel the deletion request before the recovery period ends;
  5. after the recovery period, the deletion request becomes eligible for permanent cleanup.

The deletion lifecycle is designed so billing state is not used as permission to delete library content.

For data and recovery boundaries, see Your Data in Hosted Nostos and Backups & Recovery.
