Hosted Nostos

Hosted Nostos is the managed way to use the same Nostos product without running your own server. The service is live in Early Access at app.nostos.page.

Early Access

Hosted Nostos is a live paid service. Early Access means the service is still being refined; published checkout, trial, account, and billing behavior are real customer flows rather than a sandbox description.

Sign in

Open Hosted Nostos and use the sign-in flow. After authentication, Nostos returns you to the current state of your account.

There is no server setup, database configuration, storage account, or AI-provider setup for you to manage.

From sign-in to your library

A new hosted account moves through a short setup journey:

1. Choose access — select Standard, start the Standard trial, or choose Pro.
2. Checkout when required — Standard collects payment details before the trial; Pro bills when the subscription starts.
3. Preparing your library — Nostos prepares the hosted library for the signed-in account.
4. First run — choose Start fresh or Import an existing Nostos library.
5. Library — once setup is complete, Nostos opens into the normal application.

If preparation is interrupted, returning to the app resumes the same account setup instead of creating another library.

Manage your hosted account

Use nostos.page/account for the customer account surface. It shows subscription state and managed-AI usage and, when available for the account, opens the secure billing-management flow.

Payment methods, invoices, subscription changes, and cancellation are handled through the billing-management flow rather than by editing anything in your library.

Ask Nostos and voice

Hosted Nostos includes managed Ask Nostos and voice transcription without requiring your own API keys.

Ask Nostos and voice transcription share one included managed-AI allowance. Pro increases that included capacity; it does not unlock a different reasoning mode or a more autonomous version of Ask Nostos.

Ask Nostos is designed as a retrieval-first navigation and reconnection assistant: it works from your Nostos library, notes, concepts, and supported book text, then orients you back to the material it used.

Hosted and self-hosted are one product

Hosted Nostos and SelfHosted Nostos are deployment choices for the same library, reader, notes, concepts, and writing experience.

• Hosted Nostos removes server upkeep and provides the managed services needed to run your library.
• SelfHosted Nostos runs on infrastructure you control and keeps provider configuration under your control.
• Portable Nostos exports let you move supported library data and media between the two.
